My Words Frame My World

It is important to always be aware that my words frame my world.
God gave me a tangible way to understand this mindset on our vacation.
Let me explain:
We stayed at an Airbnb in Virginia on our trip. There were two normal cabins at the end of a beautiful road. There was a stream on the right side and an area with picnic tables and a playground.
When I read the information book, the first thing they said was welcome to our resort and talked about the common areas.
I loved how using the word resort made me feel even better about our purchase. It made the expectation of the quality of the area higher and also spoke of how to treat everything I found there.
This was not just a picnic table - it was a table that was part of a resort. This may seem subtle, but the words did really affect the way that we saw the area.
When I remember that I am God's daughter and speak in alignment with this relationship it makes a difference in my life!
I want to keep this perspective and make sure my words are always lining up with the truth!
